Who We Are

Volunteer Programs provides opportunities for community engagement and leadership development. Through mutually beneficial campus and community partnerships, students explore social issues by engaging in direct service, reflection, and critical dialogue. We aspire to be a resource that encourages and empowers the campus community to become global leaders.

NOTE: In an abundance of caution, many of the direct community service projects are on hold for the 2021-2022 academic year - please email volunteer@uci.edu.

College Corps at UCI

UC Irvine is proud to be among 45 statewide campuses selected for the inaugural #CaliforniansForAll College Corps program, facilitated by Student Affairs.

Students who are accepted into the College Corps program at UCI for the 2022-23 academic year will engage in community-serving opportunities that focus on food insecurity or climate action, while also receiving financial compensation and the option for academic credit among other benefits.

Led by California Volunteers and the California Office of the Governor, the College Corps program has three priorities across the state:

  • To engage college students in meaningful service to build leadership and civic responsibility
  • To promote academic success and economic well-being with students from diverse backgrounds
  • To support the work of community-based organizations in key local priorities, with UCI focusing on food insecurity and climate action opportunities
