Through mutually beneficial campus and community partnerships, students explore social issues by engaging in direct service, reflection, and critical dialogue. Mathematics Engineering Sciecnce Achievement (MESA) Program

Approximately 800+ students from our 26 middle and high schools from the OC and LA area will come to UCI to campus to compete in various math, science, and engineering competitions. Many volunteers are needed to make each event a great experience for everyone.

Bubblefest, the Discovery Cube’s most popular annual event is designed to help visitors appreciate and understand the scientific principles and mathematics of bubbles, and to let them explore the world of bubbles in a fun, hands-on environment.
Discovery Cube volunteers will find themselves immersed in a world of science and bubbles. We will need some help with activities in our Bubble Lab, Laser exhibits, and many other hands-on activities. Shifts are 9:00AM – 2:00PMand1:00PM – 6:00PM.

Good Shepherd Volunteers recruits and supports full-time volunteers who use their talents to serve women, adolescents, and children in a variety of social service agencies. Positions are in New York City, New Jersey, and Los Angeles as well as abroad in Thailand. Good Shepherd Volunteers live in community with each other, receive a small stipend, and practice the 4 Tenets of GSV: social justice, community, spirituality, and simplicity.
