Volunteer Appreciation Week is all about recognizing and thanking volunteers from UCI who positively impact our community. During this week, learn about volunteer or civic engagement opportunities, participate in a service project, and enjoy free activities and goodies.

Join our team and other student leaders in a workshop discussion about incorporating volunteer opportunities in your organizations and/or how you can personally get involved in community service. Opportunity drawing for RCO funding and anteater plush. Free lunch while supplies last.

Drop by anytime to do a variety of table service projects such as alphabet packets, thank you cards, and toy kits for children. Snacks will be provided. Free succulents and opportunity drawing for a “I love service” tote bag!

UCI “Be a Busy Bee”: Volunteer Appreciation Week 2023

In collaboration with Sustainability Resource Center, Housing, ASUCI Anteaters-in-Action, Office of Civic Engagement, Student Outreach & Retention Center (SOAR), College Corps
Tabling on Ring Road 4/18 & 4/19 from 11AM to 2PM
Tues, 4/18 Pot and Plant RSVP HERE
- Students can relax and enjoy the company of others while decorating a mini pot and planting flower seeds or a succulent plant (to take home!).
Wed, 4/19 Appreciation Photobooth & Thank You Cards with Candy RSVP HERE
- Take photos with their friends (or have a solo shoot) and have them printed in a photobooth strip. Also, write ‘thank you’ cards to volunteers that they know in their life (could be yourselves). Candy is included!

- Drop by anytime between 11am – 12:30pm to participate in a variety of service projects: creating greeting cards for hospital patients or seniors at senior centers, creating an alphabet packet to support literacy, or putting together hygiene kits.
VOLUNTEERING: WRITTEN & HEARD ESSAY CONTEST – GIFT CARD OPPORTUNITY
In celebration of Volunteer Appreciation week, Anteaters in Action and Campus Organizations and Volunteer Programs will be holding an essay competition where students talk about the benefits of volunteering and how it shapes their values. 😃 Enter for a chance to win an Amazon gift card🤑, students can win:
